Others have have complained about this issue in the past as well, so it might helpful to hear from those who prefer the current behavior - I just don’t get why anyone would email the entire text of a pdf with all its formatting issues. For example, the key stroke Q is most often bound to the action of quitting. As things now are, I have to drag and drop the file into an email. A key binding is the translation of a key stroke (or series of keystrokes) to some action. I like that I can launch a shortcut and pass in the message details. I know better than to ask for options to change this behavior, so I guess my real question is why this is the behavior for PDFs in the first place - I can understand why RTFs might be treated this way, but not PDFs. (Background: I am reluctantly moving away from Dispatch for mail on my iPhone given. This will create a shortcut to send an email using the default mail client. In the location box, enter in the email address that you would like to create the shortcut for, using the following syntax: mailto. But, as I understand it, the issue isn’t my choice of email client, it is something inherent in the DT action. Right-click anywhere on the desktop and choose New Shortcut from the menu.
